I started at Cylon Consulting on October 10, 2017. When I came on board the company had one more other intern who had started a month earlier. The company at the time encouraged that we familiarize ourselves with all the company offerings which I learnt the value of product knowledge as I went on with the internship. Anthea, you are just awesome, the sales coaching sessions were somehow therapeutic, for someone with your experience in sales you have been great with us, I now understand Sales because of your sessions. As Mpumi would said “its Anthea time” – Thank you Anthea. To sum it all up, my experience at Cylon Consulting, trained by GBDx3 … Anthea Vorster was just great, I got the opportunity to share boardrooms with the biggest of titles in the cooperate world without supervision as the company believed on what they had taught me.

“I was intrigued by the mailshot that offered sales training and indicated to the sender that I need
more information. Anthea and the Consultants visited me and after our initial discussion, they shared their other services and their approach to consulting me.
We were busy with preparation to start a new company to serve other markets and wanted to define
the strategy for that newco. We contracted GBD3Group of Companies for this facilitation process. During this time the team displayed excellent knowledge of the facilitating process and succeeded to create clarity in our minds. We worked through a lot of detail and ended up with an enthusiastic plan for our new company with clearly defined roles of the key players with a project plan and tasks and objectives.

Before I was introduced to GBDx3, my biggest challenge was holding myself and especially my team accountable, Also to be consistent and measure our efforts was a challenge. I did what I thought was best, basically by trial and error finding my feet in my sales management position. It was difficult for us at first, being held accountable for our actions, exposing areas for improvement and each week there was a spot light on our performance.
Through partnering with GBDx3, we learnt to play as a team with one mission, they helped us with documented, clearly defined goals. GBDx3 came in and offered us structure and guidance. We tackled challenges head on as a team and were coached to go back into the real world and put what we learnt into practice. This was great! Together with GBDx3 we built up enthusiasm and motivation in the office, We had a new found drive, excitement and passion in what we do and the service that we provide. We all spoke of getting our weekly GBDx3 fix!
Now, looking back at the person I was a year ago is astonishing, the same goes for our individual team members, some we lost along the way, the rest took up the challenge and stood up to the plate which is filled with the recognition we all so deserve.
